Back to the Basics – Parts of Speech

Our creative muses reside in our right brain, and we use this hemisphere, most often, for writing,
ideas, and stories. Our internal editors, (or Internal Critic, as I like to call it) reside in our left
brain, and we use this hemisphere for editing. Simply put, we use our right brain for writing and
our left brain for editing.

Personally, I am more comfortable on the right side of my brain, (the creative side) but over
the years I learned that grammar is just as important to the creative process, as much as I have
dreaded and even tried to push that thought aside.

So, as I journey into left field, the realm of Sentence Structure, parts of speech, words, and the
nuts and bolts of all things grammar, I will share it here with you. .
